The socialist standpoint

Socialism advocates the ownership of property by the community as a whole.

The reason why socialism is far superior than capitalism is due to the flaws in the capitalist system which implodes upon itself. Under capitalism, the ownership of property and wealth lies among few who are well off (bourgeoisie), which leaves the poor (proletariat) at the mercy of the rich causing gross inequality, misery, abuse and the exploitation of human flesh that culminates arrogant, uppity and inefficient upper class. Socialism aims to distribute the wealth evenly among society so that all can benefit and no one shall be left out.

A capitalist may argue that the ‘determination to succeed’ is one of the important factors in the upbringing of a country’s economy. The socialist does not deny that, however, the numbers who really can succeed is only the few who have the opportunity and privileges to succeed. The socialist remains incredulous that the capitalist system is able to deliver equality and freedom to its people. On ‘the determination to succeed’, the socialist believes in ‘the determination to life’ or the impulse to share the wealth and earnings among the community which benefits all as an act of altruism which surpasses the transgression of morality by capitalist systems that advocate wanton disregard of the equal human right to life.

One may argue that it is unfair to impute the capitalist system to a citizen’s well-being. The socialist would like to ask the capitalists a simple question:”Why are the footballers earning more money than nurses?” Is it fair that footballers are earning disgusting amount of money while nurses only get a minuscule pay check?

The notion of ‘the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer’ is a damning indictment of capitalism.

Capitalist often use the language of human rights against the socialists, it respects right of the poor to starve and thirst in the gutter or ghettos, while upholding the rights of the rich to keep them there.

Do not be fooled! We the socialists understands human rights more widely and fully, which guarantees the right to work, the right to an education, and to the right health care.

Would you rather be ruled by the community or money?
We, the socialists are the bulwark of the underprivileged.
